We would like to introduce you to our very own product line Integrity Hair Care Products. This has been a long time coming over the past couple years, we have been seeking and testing the right product manufacturer for our needs. 

We are happy to say we have found a high performing haircare manufacturer here in the USA. Our line is exclusive to our salons in Northern Va. with only a couple salons in our area who we partnered with. This gives us the buying power needed to keep the price point that is great for the guest. 

This line is vegan (exceptition of Keratin products use wool protein) they are free of salt, sulfate, wheat, gluten,free nuts or peanut,tumeric and soy. 

(The energizing shampoo has sulfate to deep cleanse scalp) 

The Why!! This now gives us control as to what we choose to sell and control pricing to our guest. Although we have had and still have some great products its been difficult to get the best of all out of one line until now. PRO TIPS: EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR HAIR COLOR.

Here’s a look at how to extend the life of your hair color:

Hair color 101

The difference between semi-permanent and permanent hair color:

·        Semi-permanent hair color

If you’re looking to change your hair color, semi-permanent color may be right for you. Semi-permanent only darkens hair, it does not lighten hair color. It works by depositing hair color on the outside of the hair shaft.

 Permanent Color

If you’re looking to either permanently darken or lighten your hair, a permanent hair color is your best option. Permanent color works by first removing the original color by opening the hair cuticle, and then depositing the new color onto the hair.

Wash with cool water

While shampooing and conditioning, keep the water turned down to a cooler temperature. Hot water and steam opens hair cuticles allowing hair color molecules to release.

Use a sulfate-free shampoo

Sulfates are harsh detergents that strip dye from strands, causing color to quickly fade. If you want to preserve the life of your hair color, avoid shampoos with sulfates. Our New Line Integrity is Sulfate Free!!! At a price point you will love.

Deep condition

Protect against styling heat

Always make sure to apply a heat protectant before any type of styling with hot tools like blow dryers and irons. Try to limit the amount of days you use heat on your hair and air-dry hair whenever possible. Excessive exposure to heat causes color to fade away faster.   Vicky is one of the Deva Curl specialists there and she is fantastic! She is very considerate of client's needs, she takes her time and finds the best cut/color/product for her clients.  The front desk staff is also very sincere and accommodating with a smile.  I am looking forward to my next appointment.

  W Salon continues to exceed my expectations each time I visit. The staff does a great job of making me feel welcome and important to them. The recent changes in decor add a nice touch to the back of the salon, at least for me, and helps to break up the green. I like the location and proximity to other places that I do business so that I can get several things done in one trip.

  I have been getting my hair cut by Nargis for several years.  She does a great job on me, my wife, and my elementary school daughter. The salon is very nice, comfortable, and bright. The staff are very professional. I would recommend Nargis and the W salon to anyone.

  Helena at the W Salon is the BEST! She is beautiful, cutting edge contemporary, and professional. She has a great eye for style and the client. She listens to the customers wants and matches that with her artistry. Each time I have gone to have my hair cut by Helena, I have always gotten a ton of compliments and the shape holds for months after the visit. Her haircuts are modern and chic. She knows the movement and texture of the client's hair very well and her attention to detail is incredible. I look forward to my personal transformations each time I go and see her. Go Helena!

  Faneela is a fabulous hair stylist!  I had her come on-site to my wedding venue and she did updos for me and my 3 bridesmaids.  One of my bridesmaids has very short hair and Faneela was able to quickly use one of my extra extensions to put her hair up in a fashionable and classic updo...nobody could tell it wasn't her own hair!  My hair lasted all day and throughout the night in the hot Labor Day weekend heat and humidity. She was able to easily duplicate hairstyles that my girls showed pictures of and provided her recommendations as necessary.  She showed up on a timely manner and was set up and ready to go at the time promised.  She also worked very well timing wise with my make up artist who was on site and all the girls were done with hair and make up in perfect time for pictures.  I would highly recommend Faneela for updos and hair styles. She does a wonderful job!

  This is a terrific place, which I found after following Helena from her previous employer. She is an incredible stylist, whom I recommended to both my wife and my daughter. They are equally happy with her. She is a pro...very responsive to need, a great conversationalist, and simply very good at what she does. I am extremely satisfied with the salon as well, which went though a very seamless ownership transition...couldn't event tell. The receptionists are always very warm and friendly, both over the phone and in person.  I drive about 20 minutes, and it would take a lot for me to switch. I highly recommend W Salon. All the stylists are very good, but I recommend Helena in particular.  Try it.  You'll be glad you did.

  First I'd like to preface this reviewing by saying that I am *very* picky with my stylist selection. I've had the same stylist for 10 years and over the past 2 years have been searching for a reasonably priced replacement since my old stylist moved out of the country (otherwise I'd have followed her). I have curly hair, and for anyone blessed with these kinds of tresses, knows how hard it can be to get them to lay correctly, look healthy, and shine.
  
  I scheduled my appointment with Vikki. She was very thorough from the beginning and responsive to what I was looking for from her as the stylist and what my hair needs were. She didn't try to sell me every product on the shelf. She gave me a deva cut on dry hair, then colored it, and showed me how to style it using only conditioner! I have a drawer full of hair products, most notably, I have used mousse for over 25 years. Vikki washed my hair and then raked the conditioner through it and left it in. She explained to me that I should do this until the hair stops absorbing the conditioner (when it starts to feel slick). She spent about 10 minutes raking my hair and then took a few clips to lift the crown of my head and placed me under the dryer for about 10 minutes. Then she walked me back to her station and had me flip my hair over (like I do at home) and diffused it. When she was done, I was nothing short of stunned!
  
  As much as I loved my previous stylist, I always came home, darted to the shower, and styled my hair the way I style it. When I got home today, I had no need to do that. She styled it and I just hope that I can do it as well as she did with a little practice.
  
  Bottom line. Vikki is sweet and is truly dedicated to making her clients happy. She didn't oversell me products. She consulted with me to great extent before cutting, coloring, and styling. Admittedly the appointment took a little longer than I had expected, but I am glad she took her time to teach me how to do it at home.
  
  The cost was very reasonable for both the cut and color. I gave her a 20% tip and bought the shampoo ($20) and conditioner ($20) and still the entire bill was $75 south of what I had paid the last stylist I tried. The conditioner alone will replace the spray leave-in conditioner, conditioner, mousse, and hair spray I had been using (combined cost of $35-45 at least).
  
  So I walked out thoroughly satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend The W Salon and Vikki to any fellow curly girls out there.

  I've never written a review, but I've been getting my hair done by Jung Soo for well over a year and she is totally awesome, so it's about time. The W Salon is a nice salon with an attractive atmosphere and fair pricing. Scheduling appointments is easy and flexible. They've got great stylists, and that's the real reason I go. I get a cut and single-process color on my straight, short hair with Jung Soo about every 6 weeks. The first time I came in, I wanted my hair lightened and had a photo of the cut I wanted. The color came out beautiful, but she didn't stop there. Next time I came in, she inspected the color to see how it had faded between services, then tweaked the formula to get rid of some gold tones. She has a keen eye for color, because I really didn't see what she meant about the gold until I saw the result the second time. As far as the haircut, she did a great job replicating the photo, and I've kept it that way ever since. She knows how I like my hair, but treats each cut as if it's the very first time she's cutting it and I'm some kind of VIP. She doesn't get bored doing the same cut on me every time and I'm always impressed with how detailed she is in making sure the cut is perfect every time. She's also very talented at the technical aspects of a good cut - she can cut it so that it lays perfectly and sometimes I don't even need to blow dry it.  I frequently receive compliments on my hair and I've never been dissatisfied with my experience with her. She's really pleasant to talk to as well and I truly enjoy my experience with her. I would (and do!) recommend the W Salon and Jung Soo to anyone looking for great hair services in Burke.
