Hot Hair Updos for Fall 2010 Reflections of You Fairfax salon and spa

Done are the days of tight chignons and french twists. This Fall's runway trends are a soft and romantic take on the grunge trends of the 90's. Next season's styling will be greatly influenced by the designers of Fall Fashion week. Upstyles this fall are undone and slightly messy with a lived in-slept on look. The noncalant effortless styles of this season are always chic and are very hot for your formal events this fall and winter.
Variations of the low Chignons were featured by several designers on the runway: Statement making severe side parts paired with an undone and off center loose bun go easily from day to night. Try pulling some strands out of your chignon for an unpolished look. The pieces can be stick straight for a more graphic look or waved for something more romantic. A great variation of this look can be achieved with an undone french twist slightly messy and teased gently through the crown. Hair is twisted and then pulled apart leaving some hair up and some hair down and loosely waved. Define the texture with a styling paste like Surface Crave who's matte finish compliments the look of the season.
Bouffants and messy pompadour poofs are paired with smooth off centered french twists. The looks are structured but still soft. They are achieved through teasing combined with the power of styling powders like Surface Push for a slightly bed-heady feel that seems more modern than retro.
Finally for the hair down girls, messy matte waves are your new best friend. They are similar to the beach waves of summer but with a slept in feel. Its fancier than bedhead, not to mention sexier. Replace your curling iron this season for the waves of a smoothing iron. The secret again is lots of hair powder to give you that really matte texture and still control humidity.
Don't forget to finish all your Fall looks with Surface Theory Finishing spray. It's natural frizz fighting flexible hold will help to keep you looking great all night.
