Body waxing with hard wax in Northern Va. Reflections of You Fairfax

Hard WaxingThe beauty industry is always changing its methods, and so are we here at Reflections Of You Fairfax, to ensure you get the best and most convenient services the market has to offer.
What is the difference between Hard Waxing and Strip Waxing? The difference is simple and the results are fantastic.
With Strip waxing the wax is applied to the skin, then after it has cooled a strip of cloth is applied on top of the wax and the wax is removed. This method of waxing is very harsh on the skin.
Hard waxing is the exact opposite. When using hard wax the wax is applied directly to the skin and removed as soon as it hardens, using only the wax to remove it. Hard wax is better for people with sensitive skin.
New hair will not grow back in the previously waxed area for two to eight weeks, although some see regrowth in only a week.
Before coming in:
1. To help reduce discomfort it is recommend taking an ibuprofen or Tylenol one hour before your appointment.
2. Do not shave the desired area before waxing. The hair needs to be at least ¼ of an inch long, any hairs shorter than that will not get pulled out.
Benefits of Hard Wax
 When hard wax hardens it is removed quickly and much less painfully from the skin by hands.
 Hard waxing is great for people with sensitive skin because the wax sits above the skin, and only pulls the hair. Making the chance of getting irritation and ingrown hairs much lower than it would be when using strip waxing.
 Hard wax is normally 20-30 degrees less hot then most wax, which can make the waxing experience more comfortable.

  1. I have actually tried both of these procedures. I prefer hard waxing over strip waxing because it's relatively less painful, and it complements my sensitive skin. Well, it varies which type of wax procedure goes well for you, I suppose.
