Reflections of You Fairfax and ROY Salon Fair Lakes are back at it this year. We work hard every year to give back to our local community. This year we choose to work with INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital to raise money for the new Oncology center. The center ground breaking ceromony was September 14, 2012, we are proud to have such a giving and amazing staff that shares our values. ROY Salon East Market at Fair Lakes will close for business October 28th and host the first annual fundraiser for this new location. How to Grow Your hair out the right way. ROY Salon Fairfax Va. Northern Va.

When it comes to growing your hair out there are two paths women often take. There's the "let me skip my trims and let it grow" path, or there's the "maintain my cut and let it grow healthy" path. You'd be surprised which one is the path less chosen. Every woman dreams of having that big, sexy, Victoria's Secret model hair, right? It IS possible to grow your hair out to look like that WITHOUT extensions. It comes down to three things; regular trims, correct products, and correct care. When I say regular trims I mean every 4 weeks you are getting it refreshed. This doesn't mean 3 inches every time. If you take off what you need to initially, your hair will not continue to split up your shaft between trims. What's even better is that every time you get it trimmed after that, it will be less and less. Maybe half as much as the time before each time. When your fingers are getting caught in your hair when you run them through it, its time for a trim ladies. Most people cringe at the thought of taking 3 inches off. The thing is if you keep it on, your ends are going to be dead and thin, and you won't notice your hair growing because it really won't be. It will be stuck at the same length because it will continue to break. So now on step 2, the fun part. What do you have on your hair right now? More importantly, what's IN your hair? Many products sit on top of the hair and don't actually go in and repair. The great thing about the Surface line is that it's all natural ingredients go into the hair shaft and penetrate it in order to begin the repair process. Lastly, don't tie your hair up when it is wet, use proper hair elastics, and always use a wide-tooth comb to get tangles out post-shower, never a brush.
